Below you will find a summary of the core biblical convictions that unite us as a church body. We are committed to upholding the truth of Scripture with faithfulness and integrity. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us—we would love to have the opportunity to talk with you about our beliefs.

Scripture

We believe the Old and New Testament Scriptures, as originally written, are the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant and God-breathed, and are, therefore, the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete revelation of God to Man (II Tim. 3:15-17I Pet. 1:23-25II Pet. 1:19-21).

God

We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence but distinct in person and function (Deut. 6:4; Mt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14).

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, is both fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, vicarious atoning death, and His bodily resurrection (Isa. 7:149:6Jn. 1:1-314Rom. 3:22-25I Thess. 4:14I Tim. 3:16Heb. 9:24-28).

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, is the agent of conviction, regeneration, indwelling, baptism, sanctification, and illumination of all who are born into God’s family through Jesus Christ. We believe that the sign gifts of the Spirit seen in the New Testament (e.g., speaking in tongues, healing) are no longer normative for the church and are not a necessary signs of the Spirit's indwelling (Jn. 3:5-614:16-17Acts 1:511:15I Cor. 6:19-20).

Creation

We believe that God created the universe in six literal days. God created man and woman in His image and instituted the marriage relationship to consist of one man and one woman for life (Gen. 1:26-272:7-916-17).

Sin

We believe that man, though created in God’s image, chose to sin. In Adam’s sin, the human race fell, and all humans now inherit a depraved nature. Man is spiritually dead in his sin, alienated from God, and is in himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition, the due penalty for which is death and eternal punishment (Rom. 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Eph. 2:1-3; 4:17-19).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God given to man by grace and received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who shed His blood on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that each individual must trust that Christ's death, burial, and resurrection is the only thing that can obtain the forgiveness that man needs to be reconciled to God. Salvation is offered to all, rejected by many, and is fully sufficient to restore the relationship between God and man (Acts 2:38; Rom. 3:10-235:6-126:2310:9-10Eph. 2:8-9Rev. 20:11-14).

Church

We believe the church is the "pillar and ground of the truth." We believe the local church is composed of those who have been saved and baptized according to the command of Christ and have voluntarily united for the purposes of worship, fellowship, service, and the Lord's Table (1 Tim. 3:15; Matt. 16:16-18; Acts 2:41-4320:28Eph. 1:12-145:25-30).

End Times

We believe in the imminent, pre-tribulational return of Jesus Christ for all believers. This rapture of the saints will be followed by a seven-year period of tribulation, after which Christ will return in glory to judge the world and set up His millennial reign on the earth. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men—the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to the judgment of everlasting punishment (I Cor. 15:51-58I Thess. 4:13-185:1-9; Mt. 25:46; Rev. 19-22).
